Russell McVeagh

New Zealand's premier law firm

Your Career

Scholarship Programmes

At Russell McVeagh, we believe young legal talent should be nurtured right from the start.

In line with that, the firm offers law scholarships to both school leavers and university students. School leavers must be in their final secondary school year, and bound for law school. University students must be enrolled at, and retain a place at a New Zealand university law school.

For school leavers, applications are made through your secondary school in July each year. For those already at University, application forms are available at all five law schools each July.

Meet Gary McDiarmid, Russell McVeagh's CEO

"One of the most important steps in your professional career is one of the earliest - your first job in your chosen career. We can help you to take it in the right direction! We're well aware of the soaring costs of tertiary education, and the resultant pressures on law students today.

We'd like to help.

As part of our commitment to education we've developed the Russell McVeagh scholarship. Its purpose is to assist young achievers to be their personal best throughout their academic careers.
Since 1999 our scholarship programme has helped students like you, via both our financial contribution and our offer of legal experience here at Russell McVeagh.

Join the other intelligent, enthusiastic personalities who have been successful Russell McVeagh scholarship applicants."
