Sarah is a litigation specialist. Her principal work is commercial litigation and she has appeared in the High Court on a wide range of commercial disputes, including urgent applications for injunctive relief. Sarah is experienced in international trade and cross-border disputes as well as regulatory investigations.

Sarah became a Partner at Russell McVeagh in 2007. She joined the firm following her return from London where she worked for major UK law firm Lovells. Prior to her time in the United Kingdom, Sarah worked for another national New Zealand law firm.
- Acting for a large New Zealand retail bank in relation to breach of contract disputes and insolvency issues.
- Advising a range of clients in England and Australia on company law issues in connection with corporate control and shareholder disputes.
- Acting for a large, international, accountancy firm in connection with insolvency disputes.
- Acting as international counsel in foreign litigation in Australia, England and the United States of America and with extensive experience in the conduct of cross-border disputes.
- Advising an English multi-national in connection with a Department of Trade and Industry investigation into smuggling and price-fixing issues.
- English counsel for Jamaican defendants in leading European Court of Justice decision on conflict of laws issues assocated with the doctrine of forum non conveniens (Owusu v Jackson and ors, 2004).
