Ross has been a partner in the firm's Finance Group since 2004. Prior to rejoining the firm, Ross had practised in banking and capital markets with Sherman & Sterling in San Francisco and with Linklaters in London.

Ross has considerable experience in syndicated and bilateral credit facilities for arrangers, lenders and borrowers, capital markets programmes (public and wholesale) including both hybrid and structured products, and asset backed facilities. He specialises in securities and corporate finance advice as well as IPOs, private placements, convertible debt and venture capital funding. Ross' practice also includes securitisation and structured finance work, general corporate law and private equity.
- Advising Westpac Banking Corporation as arranger in relation to senior acquisition facilities in the financing of the acquisition of Nutra-Life Health and Fitness Limited and its subsidiaries.
- Acting for Westpac Banking Corporation on the senior loan for the acquisition of the Hirepool Group.
- Advising Bank of New Zealand and BNZ Facilities Management on the establishment of the Infiniti NZ securitisation trusts funded by a NZ $500 million asset backed commercial paper programme.
- Acting for Westpac Banking Corporation in relation to the first term RMBS issue out of the Southland Building Society securitisation structure.
- Acting for Macquarie Bank Limited / Generator Bonds Limited on the offer by Generator Bonds Trust of NZ$121,400,000 in Commodity Bonds to the public in New Zealand. The Commodity Bonds were listed on the NZDX. The issue was the first of its kind in New Zealand.
- Acting on separate Kauri bond issues for Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.
- Advising Bank of New Zealand on the issue of $100 million bonds by Watercare Services Limited.
- Advising ANZ, BNZ, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, CBA and Westpac on their bilateral commercial paper documentation with Meridian.
- Acting for Bank of New Zealand on the issue of $150 million Notes by Mighty River Power Limited.
- Acting for Fidelity Life on the NZ$75,000,000 public issue of capital guaranteed bonds.
- Acting for John Deere in relation to a New Zealand commercial paper programme.
- Acting for arrangers, lenders and borrowers in unsecured and secured facilities, term loans, bridging facilities and asset-based financing.
- Advising on securities and securities trading law regulatory advice including compliance with NZX Listing Rules.
- Providing corporate finance advice including covenant compliance, financial restructuring and workouts.
- Advising on secured credit structuring and personal property securities law.
