Background:
After his admission to the Bar in 1992, Marc worked at a major New Zealand law firm specialising in general commercial litigation, defamation and media law. He joined Russell McVeagh in 1996, and specialised in employment law, health and safety prosecutions and general commercial litigation.

While at Russell McVeagh, Marc acted on numerous large and complex pieces of litigation. He left Russell McVeagh to join the Crown in 2003. During his 5 years at the Crown, Marc appeared as Crown Prosecutor in numerous regulatory prosecutions, and in more than 100 criminal jury trials in the District and High Courts. He also appeared as Crown Counsel in the High Court on numerous summary criminal and regulatory appeals, and in the Court of Appeal in more than 30 indictable criminal appeals. Marc rejoined Russell McVeagh in 2008 and has continued to specialise in general commercial litigation, and regulatory investigation and prosecution.
